Hi, I’m Cheryn Flanagan

I live here in Union Pier, and EveryWare grew out of this place — the community, the pace of it, the way people exhale when they get here.

I've spent a long time thinking about how people experience things — what makes something feel good, what makes it land, what makes someone walk away feeling like it was worth their time. That's just how my brain works. Turns out it applies to pottery studios too.

I've had a pottery shed and a kiln at home for years and hand-building is my thing. I love the mess of it, the way time disappears when your hands are in clay, the surprise of opening a kiln and seeing what came out. I love that you can make something functional and beautiful out of a lump of earth. There's nothing quite like it.

And I wanted more people to have that. You don't need experience. You don't need to think of yourself as creative. You just need to show up — I'll handle the rest.

A few of my favorite pieces that show what you can make without a wheel.
